Despite the growing demand for efficient logistics solutions, traditional methods in emerging markets often face inefficiencies and lack of digitization. Cash transactions still dominate the landscape, posing challenges for modernization efforts. Regulatory aspirations and the push for digital payment systems often clash with the existing cash-centric infrastructure.
WHAT WE WANTED TO SOLVE:
The traditional trucking industry struggles with significant inefficiencies in booking, pricing, and tracking services. These challenges lead to wasted time, increased costs, and unreliable logistics. PiiK wants to transform the trucking experience by introducing a user-friendly and efficient platform that simplifies the process of booking, hiring, and tracking trucks, ensuring streamlined operations and enhanced reliability for users.
To understand the needs and pain points of our users, we initiated a direct engagement approach by reaching out to a couple of people who work in logistics, especially for trucks and heavy duty vehicles. We invited participants to online interviews. This yielded an overwhelming response, providing us with a unique opportunity for in-depth discussions and firsthand insights into their challenges and requirements.
